Joint Rally - February 13, 2012
Plan now to attend this unique joint rally hosted by the Monaco Romers and
Western Executives. The application has just been added to the 2012 Fall Rally

We only wish we could have been there because what we are hearing it was
another very successful rally. Unfortunately not that many attended but those
who did really had a good time. We are looking forward to seeing all Monaco
Romers at the Viva Las Vegas
rally in March 2012.

Rally - August 8, 2011
According to the rally masters, only 14 reservations have been made to date.
The park can accommodate 35 Monaco Romers coaches. "We know if folks do come,
they'll have a good time in the area as there's plenty to do. The Renn Faire is
always a blast. The town of San Juan Bautista has an awful lot of early
California history. If folks like to shop, Gilroy has one of the largest outlet
malls around. The back roads have many wineries and are some of the most scenic
areas to visit. The ocean is only 20 miles away and the traffic is not bad when
compared to So. CA where most of the folks come from --- so Come On Down and
have some fun" says one of your rally hosts.

The fall Historical Times Rally being held at the Betabel RV
Resort, San Juan Bautista, California arriving September 30th and departing on
October 4th, is rapidly approaching its application deadline of August 15, 2011.
Just seven more days to get your application in if you haven't already. Great
things are planned so you don't want to miss it.

What a successful rally the 4th of July Adventure Rally was.
Total organization beginning with check in, tech help on site for a couple of
days, the parade, fantastic breakfasts and dinners, lake cruise ... et al. Tom &
Lois and Bill and G'Nell are to be congratulated for hosting a rally that won't
be forgotten. Thanks! And a special thanks to all members and guests who
attended.

an Adventure - May 18, 2011
51 coaches are scheduled to attend the Coeur d'Alene 4th of July
Adventure rally this July 2nd thru July 6th 2011. After the dust
settled, everyone that signed up have been accommodated for according to Tom
Getzfrid, one of the Rally hosts. Unfortunately several people had to cancel due
to various reasons which left open spaces for those who were on the waiting list
just a few days ago. What an adventure we have in store for us come this July.

Coeur d'Alene Rally Application Deadline MAY 15, 2011

The 4th of July Adventure rally application
deadline is this coming Sunday, May 15th. According to the rally masters they
have 55 coaches already signed up (their maximum) with 3 on the waiting list.
Their goal is to accommodate everybody who wants to attend. So, if you are on
the waiting list be patient while they are working things out.

The Monaco Romers store has just added an embroidered golf hat. Check it
out. You'll really like it.

Monaco Romers Store is NOW OPEN - April 7, 2011
Monaco Romers logoed products are now displayed in the store with sizes and
pricing. If you don't have your logoed items, now is the time to purchase them.
And rumor has it that a logoed golf cap (baseball style) may be coming in the
near future. Watch for information as this develops.

Former Newsletter Editor BOB THOMPSON WINS AWARD

It was recently brought to my attention that our past newsletter editor Bob
Thompson has won several awards for his editorship and publishing of the Monaco
Romers Newsletters. The most recent award is the Western Motor Home
Association's 2010 Award for Best Newsletter Large Chapter. It was awarded
to Bob on January 15, 2011. We want to extend our congratulations and thanks to
Bob.

WINTER RALLY APPLICATION NOW AVAILABLE - March 11, 2011
Viva Las Vegas will be hosted by Stan and Barbara Jones and will take
place March 14 - 18, 2012. They have secured sites at the Las Vegas Motorcoach
Resort for all who want to attend. This looks to be another exciting, fun and
wonderful Monaco Romers rally. Click on the above link to download your rally

Journey To Temecula Rally HUGE SUCCESS -
March 10, 2011
The Journey To Temecula rally that started on March 6th and ended on March
10, 2011 was a huge success. Thirty-Five coaches, and 70 wonderful Monaco Romers
attended (plus a few delightful guests). Thanks to the rally participants for
making this such a success.

Headline: DEVASTATING BLOW to the CROW FAMILY

Our Membership Director Rob Crow and his wife Shirley tragically lost
their daughter, Kari, who passed away suddenly on Monday, February 28, 2011. Our
deepest sympathies go out to the Crow's and their family. Our prayers are with
them.

There are only 10 more days left before the Journey To Temecula
Rally registration is closed on January 21, 2011. This Winter/Spring
rally is being held at the Pechanga RV Resort in Temecula, California arriving
March 6, 2011 and departing March 10, 2011. Don't miss out on the fun,

The official Monaco Romers Store that features wearable and other items with
the Monaco Romers logo is currently under construction but its skeleton is
available for
viewing. Nancy Baumgart continues her role as store manager. Soon to come will
be pictures and pricing of the items offered, however, you will still have to
contact Nancy directly to place your order. There will be NO online ordering.

TAYLOR - New Newsletter Editor

As I mentioned below, our new
Editor in Chief of the
Monaco Romers News e-Newsletter is Marsha Taylor, a Monaco Romers
member since January 2005. Marsha and her husband Dave bought their first Monaco
motor home in September 2003. After attending a Monaco "Come Home" Rally in
Salem and meeting several Monaco Romers they decided to join the club. They
found out how much fun the Monaco rallies were and have attended many rallies
over the last number of years.
Marsha enjoys working and playing on the computer and
thoroughly enjoys the art of photography. These combined skills have led her to
produce various newsletters for other clubs that she has been involved with.
When asked about why she agreed to become the Monaco Romers new Editor in Chief,
she commented "After belonging to a club for over 5 years, it was time to give
back in a capacity that allows me to be more involved by staying up-to-date with
club news while meeting more of the members when attending the rallies." She
also said " [I'm] looking forward to fun rallies in the future!"

Editor-Webmaster Retiring - December 9, 2010
Due to health reasons, Bob Thompson has decided he isn't able to continue on
with the management of the original Monaco Romers web site that he created, nor
continue to be Editor in Chief and produce the Monaco Romers News e-Newsletter. We wish Bob
a complete and healthy recovery and will dearly miss both his and his dear
wife Shirley's participation in the club. Both of them have contributed greatly
over the years to the Monaco Romers and deserve a huge round of applause and
thanks. THANKS BOB & SHIRLEY!!!
The Monaco Romers web site is now under the direction of our current
Secretary, Tom Townsend. What ever made him do it, no one knows. However, he has
agreed to handle the web site and has developed a completely new look and format
for the site. Hope you like it. On any issue or item concerning Monaco Romers,
you can send your feedback by utilizing our
Feedback Form.
In addition , we welcome aboard our new Editor in Chief of the Monaco Romers News
e-Newsletter, Marsha Taylor. Marsha and her husband Dave live in Southern
California. More to come as I get it.
 Monaco Romers News e-Newsletter
The Monaco Romers News has been and is
normally published within several weeks after each rally and is now e-mailed to
each Monaco Romers member. The purpose of the newsletter is to highlight the
rally's events, participants, and overall good time had by all (witnessed by all
of the photos of everyone having fun).
It also includes the formal side of the club by
detailing the club's business meeting conducted by our President.
Our Vice-President highlights the upcoming rallies followed by our treasurer's
report on the financial status of our club. FMCA news is normally presented
by our FMCA
National Director or in his/her absence by our FMCA Alternate National Director. Our Sunshine Lady Nancy Baumgart reports on the ups and downs of
various members. She also provides us the opportunity to purchase several
wearable and promotional items decorated with the Monaco Romers logo. The club's
Membership Chairman Rob Crow's membership report is included in our Monaco
Romers News e-Newsletter. The Tech Talk Corner is a composite of what
took place at the rally's Tech Talk session. This Tech Talk session typically
follows the rally's general business meeting and is normally hosted by one of our long time
members, and a Past President, Gary Quilla. Other Club events and
interests are also included in each newsletter.
